Overview
Existing and emerging applications demand miniaturized ultra-high-speed electrical drives. The innovation in Celeroton’s technology lies in its interdisciplinary design (including mechanics, electromagnetics, electronics and software), which allows for highest rotational speeds – up to and beyond 1 million revolutions per minute (rpm) – not achievable by standard drive systems.

Such miniaturised ultra-high-speed drives resolve the following industry needs:
Highly lightweight and compact systems
-
With an increase in rotational speed, the size and weight of end systems decreases. This results in more cost effective designs due to lower material costs.
Increase in productivity
-
The increased rotational speed allows for higher producivity in machining tools.
Higher efficiency
-
The replacement of compressed air/gas turbines by high-speed electrical drive systems leads to energy savings and a better controllability.
