With the new CM-AMB-400 Celeroton enlarges its product portfolio with the first high-speed active magnetic bearing motor for direct drive of applications with speeds up to 400,000 rpm.
When operating high rotational speeds you are quickly confronted with the equation that high rotational speeds come along with high abrasion and reduced lifetime of ball bearings. As a high speed specialist Celeroton is particularly faced with this challenge. This is why we offer with our ultra-high-speed magnetic bearing an alternative for bearings with highest rotational speeds. With the CM-AMB-400 we have integrated this technology in a first motor and with this achieve unmatched speeds for motors with magnetic bearings.
The new motor CM-AMB-400 combines the advantage of operation in vacuum or special atmosphere with minimum volume thanks to integration of torque generation and magnetic bearing in confined space.
