New Board Member

We are proud to announce that Prof. Dr. Nicolas Wavre has accepted to join our board of directors. Mr. Wavre (1945) graduated from the Federal Institute of Technology of Lausanne (EPFL) in 1970 and obtained his PhD degree in 1974. In the same year, Nicolas Wavre founded ETEL SA, a leading Swiss high-tech company focusing on direct drive technology, primarily brushless linear and torque motors for the high-tech market. Nicolas Wavre has managed ETEL from its inception to the level of 220 employees in 2002 with sales of CHF 40 m.

In 2003 Nicolas Wavre decided to resign from his job as CEO of ETEL to become an independent consultant for the management of SME’s and for the design of high performance motors and actuators, while keeping his teaching activity at EPFL. He holds several board seats (ETEL SA, Banque Bonhôte & Cie SA, Syderal SA, Seyonic SA, and Neode SA).
