Higher pressure ratio and larger work area: A design optimization of the turbo compressor CT-13-1000 has enabled great improvements.
Only a year ago, Celeroton introduced the CT-13-1000 as its first diagonal turbo compressor. The new product enabled massive savings with regards to size and weight for various applications (see newsletter article Product Launch CT-13-1000).
This compressor has recently been fluid dynamically optimized. This has led to two important improvements:
- The minimum requirement regarding mass flow, also known as surge line, has been reduced. This enables a larger work area with regards to flow rate/mass flow with the same compressor.
- The maximum pressure ratio has been increased from 1.3 to 1.4, whereas the work area has been enlarged upwards. This has opened up new application areas such as providing the air supply for fuel cells.

In order to introduce the increased pressure ratio in the product name, we have renamed the compressor to CT-14-1000. You can find further information regarding the improved product in the data sheet.
