Flexible power input and high efficiency
The frequency converter features a single-phase PFC input with a wide voltage range of 108 VAC to 264 VAC at 50/60 Hz, enabling global operation on standard mains supplies. For applications with DC sources, a DC voltage input from 230 VDC to 400 VDC is also available.
Thanks to the integrated power factor correction (PFC) stage, the system achieves a power factor greater than 0.99, ensuring efficient energy usage and compliance with grid requirements. Overall system efficiency exceeds 94 %, minimizing heat generation and operating costs. An integrated EMI filter simplifies system integration, while the input stage is optimized so that no external input filter is required, reducing installation complexity and system cost.
Advanced motor and system integration
To accommodate a broad range of motor designs, the frequency converter allows a user-definable setup for motor parameters, enabling optimized performance with different PMSM and BLDC machines. The new generation also introduces an enhanced four-wire motor temperature measurement interface, allowing precise monitoring of motor temperatures. This feature is particularly valuable for turbo expander systems in cryogenic environments, where accurate temperature measurement is critical. For energy dissipation during dynamic braking, the frequency converter supports both an internal braking chopper and an external chopper interface with up to 3.5 kW continuous power, providing flexible braking configurations.
User-friendly control and connectivity
Commissioning and operation are simplified through the CelerotonPilot PC software, which provides an intuitive interface for configuration, monitoring, and diagnostics.
The frequency converter supports multiple communication interfaces:
Improved EMC and global compliance
The new frequency converter features improved electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) and now also meets stricter requirements applicable to household environments, expanding the range of possible installations.
The device complies with key international standards, including:
- IEC 61800-3 (CISPR11 / EN55011)
- EN61000-3-2 and EN61000-3-3
- IEC 61000-4-2 to IEC 61000-4-8
- IEC 61000-4-11
- IEC 61800-5-1
